at County Road Dental Practice

We are pleased to offer a specialist orthodontic service at County Road Dental Practice in Walton, Liverpool, created specifically for children and teenagers. Our in-house braces clinic gives young patients access to high quality orthodontic care without long delays, in a practice they already know and feel comfortable in. If you have been looking for braces for children or teens in Liverpool or searching online for dental braces near me, our team can guide you through the options and recommend the right treatment for your child. To help reduce waiting times for braces, we have welcomed Specialist Orthodontist Mr Nathan Nagar to County Road Dental Practice. Nathan provides a limited number of braces consultations and treatments here at the practice, giving families a quicker and more convenient way to begin orthodontic treatment and plan for a healthier, more confident smile. Nathan is a local Specialist Orthodontist who spends most of his time working in hospital practice and has completed his Consultant training at Alder Hey. By joining County Road Dental Practice, Nathan is helping us:
  • Reduce waiting times for brace assessments
  • Provide expert orthodontic care in a convenient local setting
  • Support children and teens who may be struggling to access NHS orthodontic treatment
He has already started treating patients who were waiting to be seen under the NHS and we are delighted to have him as part of our family dental team.

With ongoing pressures on NHS orthodontic services and difficulties accessing specialist primary care, many families are unsure where to go for advice about braces. Nathan has extensive experience in caring for children and teenagers with a wide range of orthodontic needs, from simple crowding to more complex bite and jaw problems.

At your child’s braces assessment, Nathan will:

  • Examine the teeth, bite and jaw growth
  • Listen to any concerns about appearance, confidence or function
  • Explain the treatment options in clear, child friendly language
  • Advise on the best time to start treatment so that results are stable and long lasting

Meet Our Specialist Orthodontist – Mr Nathan Nagar

Braces work best at certain stages of growth and it can be worrying when long waiting lists delay treatment. Our in-house orthodontic service has been set up to make specialist braces care more accessible for families in Liverpool.

The service is designed to provide:

Why We’re Offering This Service

Reduced wait for for assessment

Be seen sooner and start planning treatment earlier, instead of staying on a long waiting list.

Better opportunity to catch issues
early

Receive a tailored treatment plan based on your child’s growth, bite and tooth development.

No requirement to meet NHS qualifying criteria

We can discuss different types of braces to suit your child’s clinical needs and your budget, including more discreet options where appropriate.

Treatment in a familiar setting, out of school hours

Your child is treated in a practice they already know, with appointments offered outside school hours where possible.

Braces can help with:
  • Crowded or overlapping teeth
  • Gaps between teeth
  • Teeth that stick out
  • Bite problems such as overbite, underbite or crossbite
  • Jaw alignment issues
  • Difficulty cleaning properly because of tooth position
Improving the position of the teeth and bite can make eating and speaking easier, protect teeth from wear and damage and give your child greater confidence in their smile.

For under 18-year-olds, the price for upper and lower stainless-steel fixed braces (with one set of upper and lower retainers at the end of treatment) starts at £3,000.

A typical fee breakdown looks like this:

  • Assessment fee: £100 – This covers your child’s initial consultation and examination. – If you go ahead with treatment, this £100 is deducted from the total fee.
  • Initial deposit: £1,500 – Payable once you decide to start treatment and we take orthodontic records. – This secures your child’s place and treatment plan.
  • Outstanding balance: £1,400 – To be paid over the duration of treatment (usually 12–24 months*), in manageable amounts.

*Finance is available, subject to status and the usual credit checks.

We aim to keep our pricing competitive while offering specialist led care in a convenient local setting.

What’s Included & How Much Does It Cost?

Every child’s smile is different, so treatment is always tailored. Fixed metal braces remain one of the most effective and predictable ways to move teeth, especially for more complex cases. However, for suitable patients, we can also discuss more discreet brace options, including:

  • Tooth-coloured (ceramic) brackets
  • Clear aligners

For older children and teenagers who feel self conscious about the appearance of their braces, these alternatives can be a good choice while still delivering excellent results. Your orthodontist will explain which options are clinically appropriate at your child’s assessment and outline the costs involved.

More Discreet Brace Options

At the brace consultation, you can expect:

What to Expect at Your Child’s Assessment

1

A thorough orthodontic examination of your child’s teeth, bite and jaw.

2

Discussion of concerns – for example, crowding, spacing, protruding teeth or bite problems.

3

Records as needed, such as photos, impressions or X-rays, to help plan treatment.

4

Clear explanation of options, including whether braces are recommended now or at a later stage.

5

Written treatment plan and costs, including payment options and an estimated treatment timeframe.

There is no obligation to start treatment, but if you do decide to proceed, your £100 assessment fee is deducted from the total cost.
