Paul qualified as a dentist from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne in 2001, graduating with distinction in Restorative Dentistry. He has spent his entire dental career at County Road Dental Surgery, where he has had the privilege of caring for generations of patients and developing extensive experience in general dentistry.
Paul became Principal Dentist and Owner of the practice in 2017, alongside his wife. Since taking over the practice, they have continued to develop the team and facilities, introducing digital technology and imaging as well as the new services of Merseyside Tooth Removal and Oral Surgery and North Braces. This has been with the aim of making dental care as accessible and convenient as possible for patients in the area.
Paul particularly enjoys the variety that general dentistry brings. Over the years, he has treated patients across all age groups and with a wide range of dental needs, from routine preventative care and restorative dentistry to dentures, bridges, cosmetic treatments, endodontics and oral surgery. He believes in taking time to understand each patient and tailoring treatment to their individual needs, helping them feel comfortable and confident about their dental care.
Having worked in a busy practice serving a diverse community for more than 20 years, Paul has developed an approach based on reliable, practical and carefully planned dentistry. Much of his work comes through recommendations from existing patients, which he considers one of the greatest compliments a dentist can receive.
Paul also has a strong interest in supporting the development of other members of the dental team. County Road Dental Surgery has a long history as a training practice. Having previously worked as a vocational trainer for a newly qualified dentist, Paul continues to be involved in the training and development of dental students from Liverpool Dental School. He highly values the teamwork and good communication that help create a well-run and supportive dental practice.
Outside dentistry, most of Paul's spare time is spent with his family supporting his two children in their sporting activities. He enjoys padel, squash, walking and cycling, and is also a lifelong Liverpool FC supporter.
Paul looks forward to welcoming patients to the practice and helping them and their families maintain healthy, confident smiles.
