Specialist Braces
for Children & Teens

at County Road Dental Practice

We’re excited to introduce a brand-new orthodontic service at County Road Dental Practice, designed especially for our growing patients.

To help tackle the long waiting lists for braces, we’ve welcomed Specialist Orthodontist Mr Nathan Nagar to our team. Nathan is offering a limited number of brace consultations and treatments exclusively within our practice, giving families a new, more accessible way to start orthodontic treatment.

Mr Nathan Nagar is a local Specialist Orthodontist who spends most of his time working in the hospital setting and has completed his Consultant training at Alder Hey. By joining County Road Dental Practice, Nathan is helping us:
  • Reduce waiting times for brace assessments
  • Provide expert orthodontic care in a more convenient setting
  • Support children and teens who may be struggling to access NHS orthodontic treatment
He has already begun treating patients who were waiting to be seen under the NHS, and we’re delighted to have him as part of our family dental practice.

Meet Our Specialist Orthodontist – Mr Nathan Nagar

With current difficulties in accessing specialist primary care and the long NHS orthodontic waiting lists, we know many families are feeling stuck and unsure where to turn.

Our new in-house orthodontic service aims to offer:

Why We’re Offering This Service

Reduced wait for for assessment

Be seen sooner and start planning treatment earlier

Better opportunity to catch issues
early

Tackle pressing orthodontic problems at the right time in your child’s growth.

No requirement to meet NHS qualifying criteria

Even if your child doesn’t meet the NHS threshold, they may still benefit from braces.

Treatment in a familiar setting, out of school hours

Appointments right here at County Road Dental Practice, at times that work better for families.

For under 18-year-olds, the price for upper and lower stainless-steel fixed braces (with one set of upper and lower retainers at the end of treatment) starts at £3,000.
  • A typical fee breakdown looks like this:
  • Assessment fee: £100 – This covers your child’s initial consultation and examination. – If you go ahead with treatment, this £100 is deducted from the total fee.
  • Initial deposit: £1,500 – Payable once you decide to start treatment and we take orthodontic records. – This secures your child’s place and treatment plan.
  • Outstanding balance: £1,400 – To be paid over the duration of treatment (usually 12–24 months*), in manageable amounts.

*Finance is available, subject to status and the usual credit checks.

We aim to keep our pricing competitive while offering specialist-led care in a convenient, local setting.

What’s Included & How Much Does It Cost?

While stainless-steel fixed braces are a highly effective and reliable choice, Mr Nagar is also happy to discuss more aesthetic options, including:

  • Tooth-coloured (ceramic) brackets
  • Clear aligners

These options can be discussed at your child’s assessment appointment, along with suitability and costs.

More Discreet Brace Options

At the brace consultation, you can expect:

What to Expect at Your Child’s Assessment

1

A thorough orthodontic examination of your child’s teeth, bite and jaw.

2

Discussion of concerns – for example, crowding, spacing, protruding teeth or bite problems.

3

Records as needed, such as photos, impressions or X-rays, to help plan treatment.

4

Clear explanation of options, including whether braces are recommended now or at a later stage.

5

Written treatment plan and costs, including payment options and an estimated treatment timeframe.

There is no obligation to start treatment, but if you do decide to proceed, your £100 assessment fee is deducted from the total cost.

If you have any questions before booking, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with our reception team, who will be happy to help.

Because this is a new service with a limited number of appointments, we will be booking patients on a first-come, first-served basis.
